Today visit our yesterday
LA HIRUELA
Ethnographic museum + Flour windmillThe old pediment covered the town developed in the year 2002 in a facility that houses an Ethnological Museum which collects the popular heritage and ancestral ways of life of the inhabitants of La Hiruela with various farming implements its upstairs, useful farmers and domestic, and historical costumes.
Inside the Museum we can find several rooms that recreate a rural House of the 17TH century. They fall within four ideas, the rest, the celebration, the meeting and the work. The pieces that are in them come from private donations made by residents of La Hiruela, to the accompanying photographs of time and a voice that guides us through the various rooms.
This ethnographic museum is a faithful reflection of a period not very distant in time but unknown to many, helping to discover and keep in memory a rich and fascinating cultural heritage that, in this way, remains alive in our times.
After a visit to the ethnographic museum you can also finish the race until the flour mill, pasando por el Colmenar Tradicional para completar la visión sobre el pasado de La Hiruela.
