Patones – Pontoon of the olive

We can consider as it, After La Pedriza, the 2nd climbing in Madrid, both quantity and quality.

The pontoon of the olive is a dam in wayside, in its day it represaba the Lozoya River and is the oldest system of dams of the Canal de Isabel II.

It is the limestone rock climbing school (calcoarenita), most known and visited Madrid and one of the most famous downtown.

The height of the tract varies from 7m. up to 50m. in the parsley or the wailing wall sectors. Dominated by crashes with large number of holes.

The majority of routes are equipped.

The best time for climbing Patones is in spring but due to the multitude of orientations of tracks you can practically scale throughout the year.

Valdemanco

Very close to the school earlier and belonging to the same mountainous alignment this climbing school is located in granite. Modalities can be practiced are classic and sports climbing, in vertical plates and adhesion. Almost all routes are equipped and have meetings rapelables.

La Cabrera

The Sierra de La Cabrera, a granitic serrezuela, It offers numerous crags with walls of up to 200 m long.
