The Sierra Norte is located north of the community of Madrid and the main means of communication to reach it is the Autovía a-I.

The landscape and biodiversity are distributed in two distinct areas.
On the one hand, the mountain area that occupies the greater part of the region, with the Sierra de Somosierra, La Cabrera, The Morcuera and much of the Sierra de Guadarrama.
And on the other, noteworthy are its valleys, lagoons, reservoirs and basins of the rivers Lozoya and Jarama.
The Sierra Norte de Madrid has centuries of history that can be seen in their monasteries, castles, churches and a unique nature in great condition for many years thanks to the multitude of ecosystems that coexist for years and years in the Madrid region.
