Piñuécar
The municipality of Piñuécar-Gandullas is located in the foothills of the Sierra de Guadarrama and Somosierra and includes two populations: Piñuécar, It is the municipal seat, and the village of Gandullas. El extremo sur del término está regado por una sección del embalse de Puentes Viejas. El municipio está atravesado por un amplio número de vías pecuarias; por la Cañada Real Segoviana, ocho cordeles, cuatro veredas y dos coladas, todas ellas ideales para la práctica del senderismo. La pequeña población de Piñuecar se sitúa en un lugar sensiblemente llano, a los pies de un cerro denominado Cabeza de Piñuecar, rodeado por prados y sembrados salvo por el oeste, donde encontramos la vegetación típica de monte bajo. La iglesia actual de Piñuecar se ubica en el límite de su casco antiguo y parece ser que fue construida por los vecinos antes del siglo XVI. El asentamiento de Piñuécar se apoya en la carretera que atraviesa el interior de la población, y en torno a la iglesia se sitúan los espacios públicos más amplios y representativos.
