Special mention deserve the holidays that revolve around the recovery of Highland customs and old crafts, notably in recent years the feast of shear. Livestock tracks and the transhumance are very present in the Sierra Norte de Madrid for centuries. One of the most deeply-rooted traditions related to both, is the sheep shear.

This activity is essential in the care of livestock and requires enormous skill and dedication to carry out.

The Festival which is held in the recreational area La Tejera hosts activities such as: demonstration of shear, popular stew, performances for children and adults, traditional dances and concerts.
